Margaret L. Brown

Margaret Brown is seasoned public relations professional with 19 years of experience in media relations and corporate communications in both agency and corporate settings. Her expertise ranges from corporate positioning, communications plan development, targeted national and trade media campaign development and issues management. An accomplished team leader and corporate spokesperson, Brown has managed teams of public relations professionals to drive measurable results for business and consumer product offerings.

Brown’s experience includes building public relations and media relations programs, as well as generating sales through targeted community relations efforts. From 1999 to 2005, Brown worked at Nextel Communications. She was initially hired to start the in-house public relations efforts for the Texas/Oklahoma area but quickly became responsible for the Southwest and West Regions for the company before moving to Corporate Headquarters. Here she established a new communications group whose goal it was to target specific lucrative industry segments for the company.
